At Habit of the Heart, we believe that it is important to cultivate healthy, Christ-centered habits in our hearts. We know that our hearts are often fickle but hold great influence, so we want to help ourselves and others be mindful of the ideas and attitudes they are drawn to again and again.

Hope

Hope is a joyful expectation for what is to come that rests on the confidence of what has been promised. It reminds us of a greater purpose and inspires us to persevere in all seasons of life. We want all people to know that the greatest hope is in Jesus Christ, and He wants us to find abundant life in it!

Home

Home is a place of comfort and belonging. In both the family and church home, people are meant to be truly known and truly loved. We know that hospitality is not a trait of every home, but we aim to seek out and foster this true sense of honest and generous community.

Horizon

The horizon is where we find the fulfillment of our hope and our forever home. One day, our faith will be sight! We want our lives here today to offer glimpses into that Great Day to bring encouragement and excitement for the joy we will share in the New Heavens and the New Earth.

1 Peter 1:3-5

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
